About us

In 2009 Nativeteran became a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) organization with tax-Exempt status.  Nativeteran is an active organization and a military display that was started by Vietnam Veteran Arnie Holt,  who is also a member of the Colville Tribe.  The display was designed to educate the public about Veterans and to start the healing process for Veterans who may be suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or other ailments caused by their experiences in the war. In 2010 Arnie loaned the display to the Nativeteran organization and, along with the Board of Directors, he is working diligently to receive funding in order to keep the organization active.

Our Board of Directors meet on the last Tuesday of the month.

Since August 18, 2013, Nativeteran has participated in over 130 events with the Colville Tribe Honor Guards and other military organizations such as the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. During this time, over 63 fallen warriors received full military honors at which time they were recognized for the time they served during active duty.   Nativeteran volunteers also attended many other events such as: Flag Burning Ceremonies, Pow-Wow Honorings, Veteran Honoring Ceremonies, Color Guard services for the Colville Business Council, the Republic USO Show and many parades in Eastern Washington.  Nativeteran volunteers also organized and held several Stand Downs in Okanogan, Washington.
